The Hustings of River Song
Okay, that title pun is a stretch.
Also sorry this is late. My excuse is I'm rubbish.

The Missy-ing Series Eight End of Season Omnipoll You Thought Was Lost To Time!
didn't strenuously object
demanded it, it's finally here: the end of season omnipoll for series 8. That's Capaldi/Twelve's first season, that aired in 2014, running from Deep Breath
to Last Christmas
. You remember. Missy was the season arc mystery, that Danny Pink bloke was hanging about.... look, yes we should have done it back last year when our memories were fresher. But I've been told memories become stories in the end, or something, so it all works out.
So stretch your memories back and prepare your ticking fingers...( Gigantopoll under the cutCollapse )

Last Season Omnipoll?
So the season proper has ended, even though that feels weird because Christmas is now only two weeks off.
As such it seems like it'd be sensible to do the end of season omnipoll for this season only after wobsmas.
However I note that I never got around to doing an end of season omnipoll for season 8, Capaldi's first year, the Deep Breath to Death in Heaven run, plus Last Christmas with the dream crabs and that.
So; would peple still be interested in filling out such an omnipoll, using their memories of over a year ago?
Should there be a season 8/2014/Capaldi's first year omnipoll?
Yes, I'd fill it out
No, the past is the past, move on

"Antediluvian", Despite the Sound, Is Not The Name of a Species In Doctor Who

Which of the following paradoxes would make a good Doctor Who story?
Grandfather paradox: Susan goes back in time to visit the First Doctor as a young man, and shoots him in the head
Epimenides paradox: in Ancient Crete, the Doctor meets a mysterious man. But can he be trusted?
Russell's paradox: the TARDIS visits the Museum of All Things Which Are Not Held in Museums
Hilbert's paradox: the TARDIS crew visits the Grand Infinite Hotel. But all the rooms are full!
Banach-Tarski paradox: the TARDIS explodes, and then reassembles itself: into two identical copies of the TARDIS...
Zeno's paradox: on the Endless Pilgrimage, the Doctor grapples with the sinister Monks of Division. Can he meet them halfway?
Berry paradox: the Doctor must defeat the Monster Not Nameable In Less Than Nine Words

After that, see you after wobs for the wobs special reactipoll, and then an end-of-season OMNIPOLL as is Traditional. Yes, but who's going to clear the roots out of the water mains, that's what I want to know..
How good was "In The Forest of the Night"?
Mean: 5.00 Median: 6 Std. Dev 1.84
How much attention should Doctor Who pay to scientific plausibility in its plotting?
Absolutely none - I'm happy with pure fairytale logic
I'm happy with just some vague handwavy technobabble
It's nice if at least some attention is paid
It can vary wildly from story to story
I'll forgive anything if the emotional beats work
I'll forgive anything if it's interesting conceptually
I'll forgive anything if it's funny
I'll forgive anything if it makes for a good visual
Bring equations and full working or GTFO!
And since we're here and the trailer looked juicy, let's anticipoll!

If I travelled with the Doctor, I would become:
More or less the same, on balance, in terms of moral worth, as before
Absolutely no different to before
Dead within the first fifteen minutes
A heroic sacrifice
A fan favourite recurring character
Somehow, cosmically important to the very foundations of the universe
An example to others (in a good way)
An example to others (in a bad way)
A timey-wimey puzzle to be solved
My own ancestor, somehow
Maligned forevermore by fandom for the quality of my acting
